Home treatment

There are many home remedies that can be followed to alleviate the symptoms of hemorrhoids, and it is worth noting that following this type of treatment is not sufficient to get rid of hemorrhoids, and the following is a statement of some of them: [3] [4]

• Application of cold compresses: Cold compresses are applied to the affected area, as they help relieve swelling of blood vessels.
• Taking a warm bath: so that the affected area is dipped in warm water, using a sitz bath that is placed on the bathroom chair, as this is done for 10-15 minutes two to three times a day, which helps reduce the itching and burning associated with hemorrhoids .

• Maintaining the cleanliness of the anus: It is recommended to maintain the cleanliness of the anus by bathing or washing the area daily with warm water, and then drying it gently, and it is worth noting the need to avoid using perfumed tissues or alcohol in the cleaning process.

Drug therapy

• Drink plenty of water and fluids.
• Get regular exercise .
• Refrain from exerting any effort or pressure during bowel movements.
• Going to the bathroom when you feel the urge to have a bowel movement.
• Avoid sitting for long periods of time.
