  • Brushing with baking soda , as baking soda has the ability to whiten teeth, and therefore it is one of the substances used in toothpastes, and this substance is considered an abrasive substance that has the ability to scrape off surface pigmentation, and this substance forms a base medium that prevents the growth of bacteria, and does not This article gives results within a day and night, but a person notices a change in the appearance of his teeth over a period of time, and some studies have indicated that toothpastes containing baking soda have a clear effect on whitening teeth The higher the percentage of baking soda in the toothpaste, the greater its ability to whiten the tooth, in addition to its effect on whitening the teeth. Bread and mix it with two small spoons of water until the mixture becomes a paste, and then brushing the teeth with it, and it can be used a few times during the week.
  • The use of apple cider vinegar, and it is worth noting that apple cider vinegar has been used for many centuries as a sterile and disinfectant, in addition to being a natural cleanser, and the active substance that apple cider vinegar contains is acetic acid, and this acid is responsible for killing bacteria, and these The ability to kill bacteria makes it a useful substance in mouth cleaning and teeth whitening, but it must be noted that apple cider vinegar has the ability to erase and scrape tooth enamel, and for this reason it is not preferable to use it daily, and also when using it the time period should be reduced. It touches the teeth, and to use it as an oral rinse, it is diluted with water and then rinsed in it for a few minutes, and it is necessary to make sure to rinse with water immediately after rinsing it.
  • Eating vegetables and fruits, as a food containing large quantities of vegetables and fruits is a good food for a healthy body and dental health, and raw vegetables and fruits help remove plaque from the teeth, and strawberries and pineapples specifically help to whiten teeth, as follows:
    • Strawberries , as strawberries contain an acid called malic acid, and this acid is said to help whiten teeth, and celebrities used to use strawberries with baking soda in order to whiten their teeth, but the effect of this mixture is not scientifically proven. A recent study found that mixing strawberries with baking soda causes little change in color when compared to other commercial products, and despite the slight negative effect of this mixture on tooth enamel , using it excessively may lead to damage, and therefore it is advised to use it for a few times. A week, to prepare this mixture, fresh strawberries are mashed and mixed with baking soda and then brushed with the teeth.
    • Pineapple , some claim that pineapple has the ability to whiten teeth, because it contains bromelain, and this substance is an enzyme found in the pineapple fruit, and it is an effective substance in removing pigmentation from the teeth, however it has not been scientifically proven that Eating pineapple would have the same effect.


Other natural ways to whiten your teeth

There are some natural methods that can be used at home, but they are not scientifically proven, meaning that there is no scientific evidence of their effectiveness or the safety of their use. Among these methods are the following: [4]

  • Activated charcoal , as brushing the teeth with charcoal flour would remove toxins from the mouth, and it also removes stains from tooth surfaces.
  • Kaolin clay, as it is said that brushing with this type of clay removes stains from the surfaces of the teeth.
  • Fruit peels, as rubbing the peels of some fruits, such as lemon , orange , and banana , would make the teeth whiter.

Note : Supporters of using these methods confirm their success, but there are no studies to support what they say, in addition to the lack of tests to ensure that there are no side effects of their use.
